Women’s Center Staff Biographical Information
Teresa G. Aguinaldo, Women’s Center Coordinator
Teresa has been a full-time Instructor of English at CLC since August of 1991. She teaches English Composition I, English Composition II-Gender and Sexuality, and Women in Literature. Teresa has always had an interest for multicultural issues, particularly multicultural and world literature. Her undying passion for women’s literature and women’s causes became apparent as an undergraduate. Teresa was a single mother struggling through college when she discovered that the women’s center at her college was a safe place that offered support and encouragement. She carried that passion to CLC in her teaching. In 2000, she was awarded a sabbatical to research women’s centers, particularly those at community colleges, with the intent to establish one at CLC. In the fall of 2002, the Women’s Center opened to the College community. Teresa is the mother of three boys, and her husband also teaches English and Film at CLC.
