We currently have two workstations for students with special needs in the Reference Lab on the second floor. The desks provide clearance for a wheelchair. In addition, one of the stations is equipped with a with special software that will magnify text, graphics, etc. on the computer screen for those who are visually impaired. The computers at each special needs workstation have the same software installed on them as the computers in the rest of the lab as well as access to all the same databases and other resources.

Additional equipment such as document magnifiers, large monitors and special software are availble in the lab on the first floor of the library. Please see the Office for Students with Disabilities for more information on this specialized equipment.

Audio Visual (for viewing AV materials in the library)
VHS and DVD players are available in the basement of the library for students who wish to view a video that is either required by an instructor or for fun. There are two small rooms where 3-4 people may view a video together. Headphones, which can be used in AV equipment or in Computers, are also available at the circulation desk. Please speak with library staff at the Circulation Desk on the first floor of the library for assistance.

You can also scan microfilm and fiche into the computer and save it as a PDF document or image file which can be saved to a disk or emailed.
