Members Exhibition

A diverse group show of all fine art media by over ninety Lake County artists. Funds from artist memberships support the endowment of the Robert T. Wright Gallery. Please call 847-543-2240 for details.

ENTRY FORM DEADLINE
Your entry form must be received by Monday, DECEMBER 7. We need to organize the show before the holidays, but you will have time to complete works in progress before the drop-off date.

DELIVERY AND PICK-UP OF ARTWORK
DROP-OFF is Monday, January 11 from noon to 7 pm IN THE GALLERY.
PICK-UP is Monday, February 22 from noon to 7 pm IN THE GALLERY.

Skyway Juried Art Competition

This juried exhibit features works in all fine art media by students from eight Chicago area community colleges. These colleges are College of Lake County, Elgin Community College, McHenry County College, Morton College, Moraine Valley Community College, Oakton Community College, Prairie State College, & Waubonsee Community College. Awards will be presented during the reception to outstanding students. Students must have their instructor's consent to enter this limited competition.

Artist Membership

An Artist Membership to the Robert T. Wright Gallery provides many benefits including a discount on Recent Works entries (for artists who reside or work in Lake County). Membership also provides inclusion in the Annual Members Exhibition. The Members Exhibit is not restricted to Lake County artists. Click on this link for the Artist Membership form.


Exhibition Proposals

The Robert T. Wright Gallery accepts individual and group exhibition proposals each year from November 1-30 only. Proposals are considered for the following academic year and beyond. Of the eight exhibitions the gallery holds each year, only five are available for new proposals. Applicant's materials will be returned sometime during the Spring semester. Applicants must provide the following:

Holiday Art Sale

The four-day sale will include 3D works in various fine arts media. Accepted artists are asked to provide an adequate supply of art to fill their assigned space. Artists need not be present at the four-day sale. Artwork will be on a consignment basis to the College of Lake County Foundation Cultural Committee which reserves the right to limit the number of pieces on display.



Recent Works

This 29th annual competition includes all fine art media and is open to all artists who reside or work in Lake County. Approximately $2,000 will be presented in cash prizes and purchase awards for the college’s art collection.

Jurors of the entries and awards will be Tim Lowly, artist and gallery director, North Park University, Chicago and Eleanor Spiess-Ferris, artist.

Show Dates: Friday, October 2nd - Sunday, November 1st, 2009
Opening Reception: Friday, October 2nd, from 7-9 p.m.
Forms and fees due: 3 p.m., Friday, September 11th, 2009

Delivery and Pickup of Artwork:
Art Drop-off: 1-8 p.m., Tuesday, September 15 or Wednesday, September 16
Art Pick-up: 1-8 p.m. Mon., November 2 in the Gallery
